Tavern on the GreenAnthony DuvaThere are two interesting things to say about Tavern on the Green, the west Side Manhattan eatery. One is that the restaurant calls itself a tavern, conjuring up images of turn of the last century eating establishments long vanished in a wave of urban renewal, and second is the restaurant's location right in the middle of Central Park, making it seem like an oasis in the middle of a rain forest.
Known as a steakhouse and a seafood place the restaurant is filled to capacity every night and reservation are definitely required. It is a restaurant where the motto is "anything bigger is better", where the portions are enormous and the wine list starts at $ 90...
